With a 1:1 reproduction ratio on full-frame cameras, this lens excels as a dedicated macro tool with remarkable optical quality and a moderate working distance. But while this lens is optimized for macro applications, its 105mm focal length, f/2.8 maximum aperture and incredible sharpness makes this an excellent short tele portrait lens as well.
